If they are warriors in the way you described, that&#039;s good. But the successful sites recruit a lot of employees into taking accountability for making safety a part of the way work gets done. Not an individual topic.</description>

		<description>In my experience, the most successful safety people are the ones who build strong relationships with line employees.

Line employees are the ones doing the job day after day.  Even if the safety person USED to do that job, his knowledge gets stale after a while.  If he&#039;s got strong relationships with the line, though, and spends enough time with them, he&#039;s going to have the freshest view of how things really work (and how they can work better).

So, I guess, part of being a warrior is making friends with the people who live in the town you&#039;re fighting for.  They know where the land mines are.</description>
